At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Helez thanked his colleague Güler for the support of the Republic of Turkey for the adoption of the UN resolution and stressed that Turkey has made a significant contribution in this way to the dissemination of the truth about the Srebrenica genocide and its commemoration around the world.

During the friendly meeting with Minister Güler, Minister Helez was informed that the Republic of Turkey will soon deliver combat transport vehicles to meet the needs of the light infantry battalions of our Armed Forces.

– The combat transport vehicles will increase the capabilities of the battalion, which is already ready, trained and organized to participate in all international peace support missions in accordance with the most stringent NATO standards, Minister Heletz said.

In addition, it was agreed to train 60 helicopter pilots for the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will ensure the replenishment of the shortage of flying personnel and the continuity of air operations.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Helez requested Minister Güler that members of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey must remain in Bosnia and Herzegovina and become a permanent part of EUFOR’s ATHEA mission in our country.
