Yemeni people and officials condemn deadly Israeli bombing of Hodeidah

According to the Islamic Republic News Agency of Iran, citing the Yemen News Network, people shouted slogans against the Zionist regime and its supporters at a protest rally on Saturday evening.

According to news reports, protesters in Sanaa once again expressed their support for the Palestinian people and stressed the support of the Yemeni nation for their cause.

According to Yemeni media reports, Israeli warplanes attacked an oil tank in Hodeidah and caused a fire nearby.

The Yemeni Ministry of Health confirmed on Sunday morning that the Zionist regime’s air strikes have killed three people and injured 87.

The Yemeni Ministry of Health also announced that the attack on the port of Hodeidah has injured 87 people.

Earlier, Yemeni officials promised a strong response to the Zionist attack and warned that burning civilian ports would not allow the regime to re-emerge from the blows it has received from resistance forces.

Yemen’s Deputy Information Minister Fahmi Yousfi vowed to respond to the US-Zionist invasion of Hodeidah, adding that such aggression will not stop Sanaa’s support for Gaza.

“Our response to the Americans and Israelis after the bombing in Yemen will be very severe,” Yousfi said in the message cited by Al Jazeera.

In response, Mohammed Abdulsalam, spokesman for the Yemeni Ansarullah resistance movement, said that it is a dream that will never come true for the Zionists to stop supporting Gaza through pressure. “Israel’s brutal aggression will only strengthen our determination, firmness and the continuity of our support for Gaza.”

Nasreddin Amer, deputy chairman of the Ansarullah media organisation, also told Al Jazeera that the Israeli attack on Hodeidah would only increase Yemen’s resolve to support Gaza.

Separately, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, a member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, condemned the Zionist air strikes on the port city of Hodeidah and said Israel’s bombing would unite the Yemeni nation and make attacks on the Zionists more effective.

“This Israeli crime will not stop us from continuing our support for Gaza,” he said, adding that Israel’s aggression would not have been possible without the support and participation of the United States and Britain.

Mohammad Buhaiti, a senior member of Ansarullah’s political bureau, also stressed that the Zionist regime will pay a heavy price for attacking civilian facilities.
