The Georgian Prosecutor’s Office has arrested an employee of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs Patrol Police Department for violating traffic safety regulations, resulting in the death of another person.
➡️Based on the investigation conducted so far, it was determined that at around 4:35 am on July 19, in Tbilisi, Tbilisi. He was speeding on his motorcycle, and the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Patrol Police Station asked him to stop, but he did not obey and continued to drive in the direction of Alexander Kazbegi Avenue, when he collided with him. The car driven by a staff member of the Patrol Police Station was driving in violation of traffic regulations. The motorcycle driver died on the spot.
➡️The detainees will be charged under Article 276 of Part 6 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for a sentence of 4 to 7 years in prison.
➡️The Prosecutor’s Office filed a motion with the Tbilisi City Court within the period prescribed by law, proposing the use of imprisonment as a preventive measure.
