The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, His Excellency Mr. Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Assumi, called for more direct Arab involvement in order to reach a purely Sudanese-Arab solution to the Sudanese crisis, stressing the need to preserve the unity of the Sudanese state and the solidarity of the Sudanese army, away from any suspicious regional and external interference that seeks to perpetuate this crisis, which is aimed at controlling the capabilities of the Sudanese people and plundering their wealth.
This was the speech delivered by His Excellency the Speaker of the Arab Parliament at the fifth meeting of the fourth session of the third legislative term of the Arab Parliament, which was held today, Saturday, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.
Asomi said that the dangerous developments that brotherly Sudan is experiencing pose a huge risk not only to the capabilities of the Sudanese people and their safety, stability, security and territorial integrity, but also to the Arab national security system in the full sense. He warned that armed clashes between the Sudanese army and the so-called Rapid Support Forces are continuing, which have committed terrible crimes against the defenseless Sudanese people, including murder, robbery and rape.
