Following the serious incident in Shënavlash in February this year, in which three children killed and buried their father, Pëllumb Meta, in a hut, the Durres Prosecutor’s Office is continuing its investigation to uncover the real causes of the incident.

It is reported that psychiatric examinations were also conducted on the three children, Hygerta, Hysen and Amarildo Meta.
Sources said a team of specialist doctors dealing with mental health issues have conducted a psychiatric examination of Perumbu Mehta’s children to see if they have any mental health issues.
If it turns out that the three children did not have mental health problems, they could be charged with premeditated murder. Although police and prosecutors currently list the eldest son, Hysen, as the main suspect, there is no scientific evidence to prove which child used the gun to shoot Pëllumb Meta.
As for possible conflicts within the family, during the investigation from February to date, the eldest son Hyseni was asked about the land documents in Pëllumbi’s possession, why Hyseni kept them for himself and whether he planned to sell the land.
