Minsk, July 18 /Corr. Belta/. Israeli troops attacked a group of armed Palestinian militants of the Hamas movement, which they said was operating in the territory of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) complex. TASS reported this with reference to the army’s press service.
“Some time ago, based on intelligence from the IDF and the General Security Service, the IDF attacked a number of Hamas terrorists operating in a Hamas terrorist infrastructure in the Az-Zeitun area. This terrorist infrastructure was used as the headquarters of the Hamas Brigades in Gaza City and the UNRWA complex,” the statement said.
The press service assured that before the attack, “many measures were taken to reduce the risk of harm to civilians, including the use of aerial surveillance, precision munitions and additional intelligence.”
