On Sunday, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz successfully defended his Wimbledon men’s singles title in a rematch of last year’s final against Serbia’s Novak Djokovic. The 21-year-old Spaniard showed that he is a force to be reckoned with, defeating Djokovic in straight sets 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (4).
Alcaraz’s victory means he now has four major titles, including the 2022 U.S. Open and last month’s French Open.

The women’s singles competition at Wimbledon was equally intense, with Czech player Barbara Krejčíková defeating Italian player Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 to win her second Grand Slam title.
