Lightspeed Fiji, an authorized distributor of Starlink satellite broadband internet, has seen strong sales, with 60% of its first batch of 600 devices already pre-sold.
Director Richard Broadbridge warmly welcomed the interest from businesses and individuals. “This demand gives Starlink the confidence to operate in Fiji. We are very happy to provide reliable service to our rural communities and businesses. There is no doubt that rural areas need reliable service, especially in areas that are not covered by any provider.”
Lightspeed Fiji’s alignment with the government’s goal of bridging the internet divide is evident. Lightspeed Fiji was approved as a reseller last week and began offering Starlink services after receiving spectrum licenses from the Fijian government last year.
