The forward will sign a four-year contract with the Italian club
31-year-old Spanish striker Alvaro Morata will play for AC Milan from next season.
The official announcement has not yet been made, but the player has said goodbye to his Atletico Madrid teammates, undergoing a medical in the Spanish capital and making a statement as a member of the Rossoneri.
“The best years of my career are still ahead of me and I want to give everything for this great club,” Morata told Sky Sports. “For me it’s a bit like coming home, the Italians have always treated me with incredible respect,” added the Spaniard, who has two spells at Juventus.
Morata will sign a four-year contract with Milan, with a clause of €13 million (R$77 million) to be paid to Atletico to have an experienced centre-forward following the departure of Olivier Giroud, who currently plays for Los Blancos.
The forward has also played for Real Madrid and Chelsea and recently won the UEFA Euro 2024 as captain of Spain.
