Iran’s General Staff has released a second investigation report into the helicopter crash that killed President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahi and other officials.

Maintenance and inspections of the helicopter were reviewed and found to be inconclusive, the statement said, adding that no emergency or urgency was reported in communications with the crew until 69 seconds before the crash.

The report said that the investigation of the wreckage and some of its components, as well as the samples collected, were not consistent with radio electronic interference or sabotage, and the investigation will continue until the root cause of the incident is determined and the results are shared with the public.

On May 19, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi died in a helicopter crash after attending the opening ceremony of a dam on the Iran-Azerbaijan border. Eight officials, including Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahyan, were killed in the incident.
