Kuwait City, July 15: Medical services continue to operate smoothly after a small fire broke out at Mubarak Hospital. Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi and Acting Chief of the Fire Brigade Major General Khalid Abdullah Al-Fahd visited the scene and assessed the situation.
The official spokesman of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Sanad, assured the public that the safety of all patients and hospital staff has been confirmed. “Thank God, the safety of everyone has been confirmed,” he said. Dr. Sanad explained that the Minister of Health and the Deputy Minister of Health came to Mubarak Hospital to ensure security, guarantee the continuity of medical services and confirm that all patients are well.
Health department sources said an electrical short circuit occurred in one of the hospital’s elevators and the hospital was evacuated as a precautionary measure. The short circuit was quickly controlled and no one was injured.
