USA – Events before the opening whistle led to changes in the schedule.
CONMEBOL announced that the start time of the 2024 Copa America final between Argentina and Colombia was delayed by 30 minutes due to an incident outside the Hard Rock Stadium.
Starting in the early hours of the morning, a large number of fans, most of them Colombians, tried to force entry because they did not have tickets, leading to clashes with security forces.

In light of this, the decision was taken to close access and verify who had tickets in order to restore order with barely half the stadium filled.
Hopefully order will be restored so others can enter in time for the initial whistle to be blown at 6.30pm.
