“Corruption, poor governance by different governments, lack of ethics still exist. As part of the fight against corruption, several bodies have been created and recently an order was issued on bounties for whistleblowers. The final move is to create a body that must have a seat in all ministries to take care of certain dysfunctions and corruption on its own and be able to take action. We have hardworking people in the administration but they are kept behind the scenes and even marginalized; because for too long it has been the most corrupt and dishonest who have been revealed and who benefit from all the advantages,” denounced the President of Faso, Ibrahim Traoré.
“So I tell the workers to beware of those who are losing their privileges, because they will continue to manipulate you, poison you, lead you in the wrong direction. Be very careful with these people who are losing their privileges,” he continued, prompting. “Their privileges, because we will not allow the so-called elites who are programmed to take all the power for themselves in different governments”, he described before announcing that he will create an agency in the government. The body will be held accountable for corruption and dysfunctional practices in the executive branch. “When this fight is for the good of the motherland, no law or text can stand,” President Faso said.
