Vladimir Voronin calls for resignation of Economy Minister Vadim Brinzan

Vladimir Voronin demands resignation of Economy and Infrastructure Minister Vadim Brinzan. The Communist Party leader says the Economy Minister should resign due to the situation around Chisinau airport.

“I saw that things were moving toward a deal because someone was calling from somewhere, trying to exert influence,” said PCRM Chairman Vladimir Voronin.

Former Prime Minister Jan Stuerza and businessman Viorel Topa also said the economy minister should resign. Vadim Brinzan has not yet commented on the resignation calls.

After being accused of falling into the hands of Nathaniel Rothschild, Vadim Brinzan was forced to admit that he had met twice with the entrepreneur who controlled the capital’s airport. In addition, Prime Minister Maia Sandu was present at one of the meetings.

Rothschild recently announced that it had acquired 95% of the shares of Avia Investments, a company controlled by Elan Shore. This happened despite a statement from the Attorney General’s Office that it was impossible to officially conduct the transaction because the company’s shares were seized.
