Latest cinema sales statistics without comedy films

While comedy films have stopped showing since July 20, other films that have been showing on screens since last week continue to be shown, and some films in the Nowruz screening basket have been replaced with comedies temporarily by increasing the number of screenings.

The latest film to join the screening cycle is Yadgar South, which finally released two days ago after several rounds of waiting and registering contracts at the Cinema Union Council.

These days, the special film Shor Ashagi is being released in conjunction with the month of Muharram. The film was first released during the Dawn Festival last year and is currently showing in more than 140 theatres.

These films, along with comedies that have been on screens and have attracted large audiences so far this year, such as “Year of the Cat”, “Texas 3”, “Don’t Be Shy 2” and “Bloody Crocodile”, as well as some other Nowruz films such as “Parviz Khan”, contributed to the total sales of cinemas exceeding 626 billion tomans in the third week of July, with about 11 million visitors.
