The nine members of the High Council for Communications were sworn in on Thursday, July 11, in Bangui, more than a month after their election and appointment were approved. This administrative ceremony now allows the new team to officially take office. Until the office is established, the media regulator will be led by a senior adviser who will not be a candidate for the presidency.
