The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry imposes fines on people found selling banned animal species over the internet.

Director of the Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate, Kadir Çokçetin, provided information about the issue in a post on his social media account.

“Those found by our authority to be selling banned species such as Yemen chameleons, crows, barn owls and pythons will be fined a total of 230,000 liras,” Chokcetin said.
