Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik once again proposed the “Minsk platform” for immediate negotiations on the Ukrainian issue.
“Minsk’s position has not changed from the beginning: the loss of life must stop, negotiations must begin. Now. For our part, we are ready to help with this. The Minsk Platform is open to negotiations,” Aleinik said.
Belarus provided territory to Russia for its military invasion of Ukraine and subsequent missile attacks on Ukraine.
Aleinik called the war in Ukraine “provoked,” but did not specify who ultimately provoked whom, nor did he point out the beneficiaries of the “dividends” of the conflict.
“We believe that the reasons for the outbreak of the conflict are complex. We are convinced that this whole situation was provoked and is now being exaggerated from the outside. Those who receive direct dividends from it. Everyone else bears the costs. As a result, thousands of people, including civilians, have died. Millions have become refugees,” Aleinik continued.
