Military experts: The situation of the defenders is more complicated

During the night, Ukrainian troops attacked the Luhansk airport and its infrastructure. The aggressors’ military base has long been operating there. Due to the large area of ​​damage, it seems that they were hit by ATACMS missiles. This is the third such strike in Luhansk this month.

The aggressors acknowledged that the Ukrainian army was able to stabilize the situation in two regions (Lipsey and Vovchansk). True, difficult positional warfare continues.

The occupiers may introduce new reserve units into the battle, and the situation may change again. Ukrainian defenders are stabilizing the situation around Kharkov, avoiding the transfer of troops from the reserves allocated to Kupyansk, Leman and Chasiv Yar, and trying to use less busy units from less hot areas. It was confirmed that units of the 36th Ukrainian Marine Brigade, which had been operating in the southern and Zaporizhia directions, appeared near Vovchansk.

Kupyansk. The Russians are increasing pressure on the northern flank and have managed to somewhat improve their positions east of Sinkivka. Fierce fighting continues on Stepova Novoselivka – Tabaivka – Berestov.

Siverska. The invader admitted that he had not succeeded in breaking through the defenses of the Ukrainian troops near Bilohorivka.

As long as the Ukrainians controlled the quarries and heights here, the Russian offensive would just hit a wall. The Russians themselves claimed on telegram channels that efforts should be concentrated not on Bilohorivka, but a little further south, in order to bypass this heavily guarded area. This “brilliant and original” proposal was born after hundreds of failed attacks and thousands of heads of occupiers.

Chasif Yar. Fighting continued along the line of contact.

The Russian army is trying to expand its activities on the northern flank, attacking not only Kalinivka, but also Hryhorivka. Through these actions, the aggressors are trying to exhaust the forces of Ukrainian defenders and expand their forces in the defense sector.

The weather was also hot on the eastern edge of Chasiv Yar. The Russian assault forces were supported by artillery and aviation, but the Ukrainians prevented the occupiers from advancing deep into the city.

Clashes are also continuing near Kryshchyivka, but as long as the Ukrainians hold the high ground, it will be difficult for the Russians. The situation, while difficult, is under control.

Pokrovsk-Vukhledar. North side. The Russians continued to try to break through the Ukrainian positions in the north near Arkhangelsk, but this time the Ukrainian defenders held them. However, in the west near Umanska, the Russians succeeded in occupying part of the “no man’s land”.

The invaders controlled almost all the heights south of Netelov. This made the situation of the Nevelsk defenders very complicated, as they were already under attack from three directions. It cannot be ruled out that the Ukrainians retreated to a new defense line in order to avoid being surrounded and fighting.

South flank. In fierce fighting, Ukrainian troops tried to stop the Russians from advancing towards the Vukhledalas-Konstantinovka road.

The Ukrainian army continues to hold the occupiers in the Staromayosk-Urozhayin area, the possibility of an attack by the invaders here has been significantly reduced. Workshop wedges – no changes.

In the second half of the day, the invaders attacked Odessa with Iskander ballistic missiles. Although two missiles were recorded, only one reached the city.

As Ukrainian military expert Kovalenko pointed out, Ukrainians have no modern Western air defense systems in the southern direction. So either the missiles fell into the sea without reaching the target, or the missiles were simulated by Russian electronic warfare means. The contact line has not changed.
