Half a million Pa’anga for Tonga rugby development

Minister of Internal Affairs Lord Vaea has presented $505,000 to the new Tonga Rugby Union chief executive Aisea ‘Aholelei.

The massive government funding is intended to support the development of various national rugby programmes, including the Ikale Tahi, Lofa women’s rugby team and the Tonga Sevens team.

The funds will be used to improve facilities, provide better training equipment, and support the team in international competitions. This initiative aims to strengthen Tonga’s overall rugby infrastructure and promote the sport among youth and women.
