Apia, Samoa – July 9, 2024 – Manu Samoa 7s head coach Muliagatele Fata Brian Lima has officially announced the squad that will represent Samoa at the 2024 Paris Olympics to be held from July 25-28, 2024 at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France.
Samoa is in Group B with Australia, Argentina and Kenya. Samoa will kick off the tournament against Australia on Thursday, July 25 at 2:30am (Samoa time).
The roster includes the return of options Laromilo Laromilo and Alamanda Motunga, which will bolster an injury-riddled squad that desperately needs a fresh prospect to push the team forward. In addition, the team welcomes the return of Vavasa Afa Sua, Paul Scanlan, BJ Telefoni Lima and Tom Maiawa, all of whom have recently returned from injuries.
