Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday that all procedures and responsibilities related to the military parade of Serbian military cadets in Bosnia and Herzegovina were respected, stressing that they did not endanger anyone.
This is not the first time
He added that a senseless campaign against him was being carried out in the district every day.
“This is because Denis Becirovic and Željko Komčić and all their media say that the aggression started after the Serbian parliament, because the cadets of the military academy took part in a memorial rally in memory of the tragedy of the Serbian people in Kozara,” Vucic told TV Pink.
He noted that unfortunately, the media did not report that Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elmedin Konakovic, confirmed that everything was in accordance with procedures and authorities.
“Well, because they lied for two days, deceived the public for two days, led a manhunt for two days, what are they going to say now, sorry, we are the worst liars. All their politicians, all their media. And you? Did you know that we also had those cadets? In those places we have photos. It’s a small matter, we respected all procedures and notified the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Vucic said.
He reportedly noted that the cadets from Serbia did not even have military boots Report.
Everything is done according to procedure
Bosnia and Herzegovina Foreign Minister Elmedin Konakovic confirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received notification about the arrival of a Serbian delegation to mark the anniversary of the Battle of Kozara, as all notifications are received by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which acted in accordance with the law and within the limits of its powers.
“We received the announcement and according to the law our only obligation was to forward it to three addresses, namely the Bosnia and Herzegovina Border Police, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Security Ministry, the Police Coordination Agency agency and the Indirect Taxation Agency. Following the procedures, we acted in the usual way,” Konakovic said.
He added that the Border Police had further options in its procedures to conduct additional checks on arriving people or potentially deny entry to someone if it judged there was anything suspicious in the bulletin, and then communicate with the Intelligence and Security Service to request that they conduct additional checks on individuals or entire groups.
“Obviously, they did not assess whether additional checks were needed. In that dispatch, it said that cadets were coming – police and military personnel, representatives of the Serbian government’s Ministry of Labor and Veterans Affairs, representatives of the Serbian Army. But it also said that they were not carrying weapons, so they were coming in their official uniforms to participate in the parade on the anniversary of the Battle of Kozara,” Konakovic explained.
‘Dirty sports’
According to him, border police did not request additional checks and did not impose entry bans.
“Why and if it is necessary, you can discuss with them, because it is entirely within their competence. Trying to pin any blame on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina is part of the dirty campaign we are used to. But I am surprised that some senior officials say that we should send the announcement to some other address, we should send it to the Presidential Palace, which is nonsense and a complete violation of the legal procedures of the ministry’s work,” Konakovic noted.
He noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina acted in accordance with the law.
“We have no right to check, we have no right to ban, we have no right to challenge anyone, the Bosnia and Herzegovina Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not have this capacity and cannot do so from the point of view of whether to allow such a person to enter, these are questions for the security agencies of this country, for the border police,” Konakovic said.
Speaking about the border police, Konakovic noted that it is a “destroyed institution with more than 800 people missing within the system, 800 border police and border guards missing because the previous authorities had left it in disarray.”
‘Serbia is not a benevolent neighbour’
“It is those who launched this dirty campaign today who left us with a devastated border police, which controls the border area with Bosnia with the assistance of the Republika Srpska MUP, because they themselves do not have enough personnel. I have spoken about this many times,” Konakovic said.
Finally, he said there was reason to be cautious about Serbia, “it is not a benevolent neighbor.”
“Serbia is not a benevolent neighbor of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it has deeply violated the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in the last months when Vucic did not hide his real ambitions. Of course, we have to be careful, because on the other hand, we always have to be careful, these domestic populists who do not even understand domestic legislation, like to prove their patriotism on these topics. , but you should not panic,” Konakovic concluded.
As a reminder, the Serbian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina announced to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina the arrival of military and police academy cadets participating in the commemoration of the 82nd anniversary of the Battle of Kozara.
Serbian army soldiers marched in Prijedor and Bratunac on Saturday.
