Kuwait City, July 8: The Municipal Council headed by Abdullah Al-Mahri approved the request of the Ministry of Finance to reallocate the land for the zoo in Al-Omariya 1 area, which covers an area of 106,286.5 square meters. The land was transferred to the Ministry of Finance (i.e. the National Treasury) as in-kind compensation for the actuarial deficit of the General Social Insurance Organization. Any change in the use of the land needs to be resubmitted to the Municipal Council.
The committee also gave the law firm one year from June 30 to adjust its status in the private residence. In addition, the municipality committee approved the Ministry of Finance’s request to transfer the Entertainment City project land from Amiri Diwan to the Public Investment Authority. It also approved the reallocation of the Shagaya Renewable Energy Complex land from the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research to the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy.
