As part of their learning journey, the 36th batch of promoted military cadets of the Kulikoro Staff School in Mali went to the Mogo Naba Palace on Friday, July 5, 2024 to pay respects and receive advice and blessings.
The Koulikoro Staff School trains officers in staff techniques to be able to work both domestically and internationally in the context of maintaining order, security and war.
Their one-year training includes a study tour. “After a year of training, they are ready to return to their respective countries. That’s why we wanted to do this study tour as an integral part of their training curriculum,” explained General Moussa Kant, head of the delegation and director of the Malian Military School.

They took advantage of their stay in Ouagadougou to pay a courtesy visit to His Majesty King Mogo Namba. The delegation arrived on Friday morning and took the opportunity to participate in the “Mogo Namba Fake Departure” ceremony. As usual, this ceremony took place away from cameras and microphones.
After the customary introduction by General Musa Kante, one of Mogo Naba’s ministers, Vidi Naba Kiba, gave a welcome speech to the visitors. The host wished the guests a pleasant stay and a safe return.
In the face of security challenges facing the countries in the delegation, Mogo Namba hoped for the restoration of peace and urged the military to “work together to promote peace in Africa.”
After the phase of advice and blessings, the two sides exchanged gifts and took photos to immortalize the meeting. “Mogo Naba was very concerned about what was happening in our country. He urged us to work for the well-being of our people, which is the main reason for our existence,” said General Moussa Kante as he left the audience.
The 36th class of promoted officers of the Koulikoro Staff School consists of 27 officers from Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Chad and other countries.
The interns have been in Ouagadougou since July 1, 2024 for seven days.
