According to Governor Alexander Gusev, 50 people from the Podgorensky District of Voronezh Oblast arrived at a temporary accommodation center after a nighttime drone attack, so the region declared a state of emergency.
He noted that so far, residents of three settlements have moved there, but some of them prefer to go to their relatives. In the temporary shelter, food and medical services are provided to those in need. The head of the district said that currently, two elderly women are being treated in the hospital.
Gusev called on local residents to remain calm and follow the instructions of the authorities.
On the evening of July 7, several drones were shot down over the region, and the wreckage fell on a warehouse in the Podgorensky district. Here explosives began to explode and a fire broke out. A state of emergency was declared and evacuations began.
