Hashid Net – Damar:

Houthi militias kidnapped an activist from the city of Dhamar (central Yemen) and took him to one of the prisons.

Local sources explained that the Houthi militia kidnapped the activist “Saddam Hussein Ahmed Sufi” the day before yesterday and transferred him to one of their prisons, where he is still being held.

According to the source, the Houthi militias did not explain the reasons for the abduction nor accept his release because of their unreasonable intransigence.

The “Sufi” activist is the son of Hussein Ahmed Sufi, a member of the executive committee of the Yemeni Writers’ Union and former director of the Youth and Sports Office of Dhamar governorate.

Iran-backed militias commit crimes every day in various areas under their control, drawing widespread public condemnation.

The suffering of citizens has become even worse after a full decade of disappointment by the government, after successive promises to fully liberate the country from the control of Iranian-backed militias, only to leave them alone to face their fate.
