Application Basics
- You need to fill out the american mission employment registration form on the pnet website to apply for open positions.
- After registering, you will receive an email with your username and password. You will need your username and password to log in and apply for open positions. (Please note that you only need to register once to apply for our open positions. Therefore, please keep your username and password safe for future use.)
- After registering, you must return to the pnet website to log in and apply for open positions.
- You will need to complete an online job application for each position you apply for. The job application is associated with the job vacancy announcement.

Who can apply: All applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of Botswana, or eligible to work legally in Botswana under Botswana immigration law.
Eligible Family Members (EFMs) or Family Members under Official Orders (MOHs) whose eligibility to work in a mission stems from their U.S. direct-hire sponsor assigned to Botswana may apply for a position prior to arrival in Botswana.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old. In accordance with current local practice, the delegation also stipulates that the mandatory retirement age for employees participating in local compensation and benefits plans is 60 years old.
Employees currently on probation are not eligible to apply. Currently employed USEFMs holding Family Member Appointments (FMAs) and Non-Ordinary Residents (NORs) employed under Personal Service Agreements (PSAs) are not eligible to apply for a job posting within the first 90 calendar days of employment unless currently employed in a temporary part-time or intermittent position.
