Xi stressed that China always regards Europe as the “fundamental pole” in the multipolar structure and “attaches great importance to the important role of the European Union in world affairs,” according to Xinhua, China’s official news agency.
The Chinese leader said Beijing is “committed to developing a China-EU global strategic partnership.” Xi also said he “attaches great importance” to the development of China-EU relations and is willing to work with Costa to ensure that the two sides “remain steadfast as partners.”
