MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Agriculture announced that it will implement the “Rice for All” program to provide affordable rice to all Filipinos.
Shortly after the launch of the P29 rice program at 10 Kadiwa stores in Metro Manila and Bulacan on Friday, Agriculture Assistant Secretary Genevieve Guevarra told a news forum on Saturday that the “Rice for All” program will sell rice ranging from P45 to P48 in the coming weeks.
“We are implementing the ‘rice for all’ program where rice will be sold at a price lower than the prevailing market price,” Guevara said.

Guevara also said it will be open to everyone to buy.
“This is for everyone, not just the vulnerable. So, anyone can buy it, there is no limit. But let’s say there are 25 bags, they can buy one bag,” she added.
The new rice project will be launched first in the Kadiva center before being expanded to other regions.
