Thierry Vallet, CEO and founder of Afro-Asia Bank, has been named by the Academy of Marketing Sciences (AMS) as Global Marketer of the Year 2024. He is the first Mauritian to win this prestigious global award in the field of marketing.
According to AfroAsia Bank, Thierry Vallet was recently named one of the six candidates for the 2024 AMS Global Marketer of the Year Award. Under his leadership, the banking institution has expanded its presence to more than 160 countries. One of the highlights of this expansion was the sponsorship of the AfroAsia Bank Mauritius Open, which significantly enhanced the brand’s visibility among a global audience. AMS recognized that this golf partnership, led by Thierry Vallet, has had a very positive impact on an international scale, especially in key sectors such as finance, tourism and professional sports, as well as individuals and local communities. The jury praised Thierry Vallet’s leadership and strategic vision, which successfully promoted the AfroAsia Bank brand on the global stage and achieved significant growth.
