After officially taking office, the new British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stopped to give his first speech as Prime Minister to the British citizens.

Starmer began his speech by paying tribute to Rishi Sunak, saying his achievements as the UK’s first Asian prime minister should not be “underestimated by anyone”.
He added, “We also recognize his dedication and hard work in leadership.”
Starmer said that the lack of trust in British politics can only be cured through actions, not words, further adding that the government will respect every person in this country.
Starmer, citing the need for schools and housing, pledged to rebuild the country’s “infrastructure of opportunity” “brick by brick”.
At the end of the Prime Minister’s speech, Starmer said that the four countries of the United Kingdom once again stood together to meet the challenges of an uncertain world.
“You have given us a clear mandate, and we will use it to bring about change, to restore service and respect for politics, to end the era of noisy showmanship, to make your lives easier and to unite our countries. The four nations stand together again. To face the challenges of an uncertain world, as we have always done in the past. We will commit to rebuilding smoothly and patiently. Therefore, I sincerely invite you to join this government and share in the mission of national rejuvenation. Our work is urgent and we start today. Thank you very much”. He concluded.
