DJ Jeffries will play for his hometown team in the NBA Summer League. The Mississippi native, who spent his first two collegiate seasons with the Memphis Tigers and the final three at Mississippi State, will join the Grizzlies in the summer league.
The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 6.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 steal per game for Mississippi State last season. He started 27 of the Bulldogs’ 35 games as the team went 21-14 and reached the NCAA Tournament.
Jeffries went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft, and the exact type of contract is unknown, but it is understood that he will go to the Grizzlies to participate in the Salt Lake City Summer League and NBA 2K25 Summer Season from July 8 to 10. The league will be held in Las Vegas from July 12 to 22.
Jeffries was a four-star, top-100 recruit out of Olive Branch High School when he joined the Tigers as part of Penny Hardaway’s first recruiting class in 2019.
