Burkina Faso: FASOKOOZ announces a patriotic return and encourages people to join the fight against terrorism

The Faso Cause Movement (FASOKOOZ) announces its patriotic return through this press conference. The press conference will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at the National Center for Performing and Audiovisual Arts (CENASA). “From Yiangdism to Wayiyaism, FASOKOOZ marches with the Faso President to welcome the arrival of the new Burkinabe society”, this is the theme chosen by the patriotic return of this movement that calls itself “Wayiyan” and members of the National Coordination Citizens Monitoring (CNAVC).

For FASOKOOZ, to listen to its spokesman Labidi Naba, the question is to engage the youngest citizens “fully, civically” through various events throughout the holiday season, in a context of patriotism and commitment to the Faso cause. The ceremony will take place on July 6, 2024, with speeches, a presentation of the FASOKOOZ book, the installation of a coordination installation for the central region, performances by artists and the recognition of the President of Faso. Mr. Naba said that the launch was attended by the head of Burkina Faso’s BroadCast Unitedligence services, as well as the Minister of State, the Minister in charge of Communications.

A FASOKOOZ spokesperson said that the event will serve as a springboard for the announcement of the program. After the launch, one-off events will be carried out. These are civic, moral and citizen education events. In addition, there will be ideological training, military discipline training. The Patriotic Homecoming of FASOKOOZ will be held annually. The first edition is expected to have nearly 600 participants.

From the national perspective

For the movement, it no longer needs to be reminded that the country has been through almost eight years of trials, trauma and martyrdom, with successive terrorist attacks that continue to mourn the people of Burkina Faso. “But the new directions and choices taken in cooperation and partnership since the emergence of the MPSR and Captain Ibrahim Traoré and the governance based on the path pursued by Captain Thomas Sankara have enabled us not only to strengthen our military equipment, but also to gain strength in the response and offense against the forces of evil,” declared the FASOKOOZ spokesperson.

He said that despite the dire situation, the people remain sober and vigilant against the dark tricks of imperialism and its native lackeys, which are responsible for terrorism. “The fact is that the path of salvation taken by my country does not satisfy imperialism. There is certainly an international alliance against my country, which can be easily read through certain Western media supported by internal networks, whose purpose is to destabilize the transitional regime,” he declared before concluding: “In granting the well-deserved five-year extension to the President of Faso, Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traoré, at the beginning of our time, we invite this part of the people, who are still skeptical, to raise and raise the level of conscience of the people who are fighting for national defense and national liberation, to unite without delay to fight terrorism and retake the territory and our true sovereignty.”
