Kuwait City, July 3: Mohammed Ahmed Al-Alyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Durra Manpower Company, sent a message of comfort to the citizens of Kuwait, confirming that according to the directives of Prime Minister His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Interior Sheikh Fahad Youssef Al Sabah, and the company’s board of directors, efforts are being made to resolve the issue of recruiting domestic workers and reduce the burden on citizens. Once the recruitment process begins, Filipino domestic workers will be immediately open to citizens.
“The cost of recruiting a Filipino domestic worker is 700 dinars, including airfare, while the cost of recruiting a Sri Lankan domestic worker is 750 dinars, also including airfare. The cost of recruiting a domestic worker, driver or cook is 180 dinars, including airfare,” Al-Alyan said.
Al-Alyan revealed that Al-Durra has contacted the Cooperative Union to establish company branches in various governorates. The Union has shown great cooperation and these branches will soon be operational to provide services to all citizens.
He added that the company is working with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior and the Public Manpower Administration to explore recruitment markets in new Asian and African countries, Al Rai reported. He praised the positive response of government agencies, expressed hope that tangible results will be achieved soon, and appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Manpower.
Finally, he thanked Kuwait Airways (represented by the Chairman of the Board), the Public Investment Authority (represented by the Managing Director), the Public Authority for Minors’ Affairs (represented by the Director), the Public Institution for Social Security (represented by the Director) and the Union of Cooperatives (represented by the Chairman) for their unwavering support to the company.
