Germany – The striker had a strong message ahead of the match between the two teams.
Joselu Mato was in charge of speaking for the Spanish national team ahead of Friday’s Euro 2024 quarter-final against Germany, in which he gave a direct address to the team’s aspirations and a message to his former club teammate Toni Kroos.
“Germany are a great team and favourites to win the title. We hope Toni retires on Friday. “It was a pleasure to play with him, he embodies everything about Real Madrid, all the values of the club,” the striker said with a smile.

“He’s my team-mate, a friend in the dressing room, I get a lot of advice from him, I talk a lot with him and it’s a pleasure for me. He’s a regular with Germany and he played for Real Madrid. “You have to be very careful with him on Friday,” he added.
The striker continued on Kroos: “We have to believe in ourselves, we don’t want to hurt any player from the other team, especially Toni. I love him and I will always believe in him, but I think Friday is his last game. It’s sad that we have to say goodbye to Toni like this, but hopefully on Friday we can win and it’s his last game, for us.
Spain and Germany will face off at 10:00am on Friday at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, where the first semi-finalists will be decided.
