Terrible news out of South Africa, former world high jump champion Jean Freitag has been found dead.
The search ended tragically two weeks ago when his family reported him missing.
According to media reports, the body of Jean Freitag, 42, was found near a cemetery west of Pretoria.
Police are treating the case as a homicide and Jean Freitag was found with stab wounds.
Jean Freitag won the world championships in the youth, junior and senior categories. He won the gold medal in the high jump at the 2003 World Championships in Paris. His career best is 2.38 meters.
