Youths head to Parliament – Namibian Sun

The National Assembly has announced that the sixth session of the Children’s Parliament will be held from July 12 to 19 this year. The initiative was launched 17 years ago as a partnership between the Namibian Parliament and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). Prior to the session, participants will undergo an intensive induction program and be sworn in for two years. National Assembly Speaker Professor Peter Katjavivi praised the Children’s Parliament as a “catalyst for change.”
