Reporting to the Director, the Human Resources Officer is responsible for leading HR practices and objectives to provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that develops an outstanding workforce. This position acts as an active and influential business advisor to executive management to drive positive business results.

  • Develop company policies and procedures in line with international best practices.
  • Works closely with department managers to provide consultative services and assist in the implementation of policies and procedures and their consistent interpretation.
  • Conduct skills audits and analyze competency gaps to design employee training programs and plan projects successfully.
  • Recruit for vacant positions; evaluate applications, interview applicants, conduct selection tests, prepare reports and make recommendations to management regarding employee appointments.
  • Maintaining individual records of employees such as salary, pension, leave training etc. and preparing related reports.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals.
  • Serve as a link between senior management and employees by enforcing discipline/grievance interpretations and providing guidance and policies to resolve work-related issues.
  • Plans, directs, supervises and coordinates the work activities of the Human Resources department and staff related to employment compensation, labor relations and employee relations.
  • Maintain records of personnel-related data (such as vacancies, leave, absenteeism, and performance evaluations) and prepare statistical reports.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes, arbitration decisions and industrial tribunal judgments to assist in understanding employment regulatory trends.
  • Develop and/or manage special programs in the areas of pay equity, wellness days, employee recognition and rewards.
  • Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems as well as safety and recognition programs.
  • Actively participate in employee safety, benefits, health and wellness programs.
  • Coordinate company-wide corporate social investment initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in human resources. Experience in express delivery industry or bulk material transportation is preferred.
  • Experience in three or more of the following areas is preferred: Human Resource Management Industrial Relations, Organizational/Talent Development, Performance Management, Change Management Compensation, and Employee Perception Monitoring/Measurement.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license. Those with their own vehicle are preferred

  • Excellent communication/presentation and negotiation skills
  • High professionalism and integrity as well as strong teamwork spirit
  • Ability to influence senior management
  • Build and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders
