In addition, frequent power outages in Iran may damage the fiber-optic network and endanger communication services. On the other hand, the migration of experts in this field, like other fields, faces the challenge of a lack of skilled labor, which in turn creates problems for the maintenance and improvement of fiber-optic networks, which is particularly important considering the lack of investors and financial resource limitations, which blur the qualitative and quantitative development of fiber-optic networks.

Kivan Aggarkar, an information technology expert, said: “There is no doubt that the optimization of services in terms of quality and quantity is associated with a relative increase in costs, and everyone thinks that the same should be true for the Internet, but in my opinion, the issue is about the Internet, and the opposite process should be done, because the Internet is like a road, and the more convenient it is in this regard, both for public and private sector service providers and for users, it will lead to a more prosperous domestic economic cycle and a more optimized supply and circulation of services such as administrative affairs, services, etc. Therefore, it seems that providing Internet services to users at lower prices, in addition to consumer satisfaction, public and private sector service providers also benefit from it.

Naferekar added: Although the cost of the initial stage (i.e. installation and commissioning) of using fiber optic services is more expensive than the previous traditional model, it is expected to be more expensive than the previous traditional model due to the better quality and speed of this type of Internet. Relatively speaking, this should be done, but the demands of the disadvantaged groups and social classes are that reducing the cost of using Internet services is one of the necessary things in today’s advanced world.

The technology enables cities to provide Internet-based services, smart connections, traffic monitoring and smart energy systems.
