Coritiba fought hard to keep the tie with Villanova

Cosa tried to respond with Figueiredo, who took the ball and kicked hard, but failed to equalize the score. When a goal was needed, Coritiba sent Wesley Pomba on to replace Morelli. Despite the presence of another attacker, Cosa did not pose much danger to Villanova.

When everything seemed to be going in the direction of Villanova’s victory, the referee awarded Coritiba a penalty after touching Ronald’s arm. In this goal, Robson’s wonderful shot helped the team to win: 1-1, the final score was fixed.

In the next round, B, Coritiba will host Paysandú again on Sunday (7th) at 11 am (Brasilia time). Vila Nova will play on Monday (8th) at 9 pm (Brasilia time) and visit Amazonas.
