Hashnet:

The Central Bank of Yemen issued a new decision in the temporary capital of Aden, deciding to suspend the operations of three exchange companies for violating instructions issued by the bank.

The bank explained on its official website that it had instructed to suspend the licenses of three companies and ordered their branches to be closed “indefinitely.”

The bank said that its governor, Ahmed Ghaleb, issued three decisions to suspend the licenses of the “Al Marri and Al Majribi” companies and their branches, and to suspend the license of the “Thamar Exchange” facility and close it until further notice.

He pointed out that the above-mentioned companies violated the bank’s decisions and instructions, noting that the revocation of their licenses was based on the on-site reports submitted by the banking regulator between June 24 and 27, 2024 AD confirming the violations.
