After a poor performance in his first televised showdown with challenger Donald Trump, U.S. President Joe Biden sounded combative and defended his performance. “If I didn’t believe with all my heart that I could do the job, I wouldn’t be running again,” the 81-year-old Democrat said at a campaign event in Raleigh, North Carolina on Friday. “I know I’m not a young man anymore, that’s obvious,” the Democrat continued, saying he no longer walks, talks and debates like he used to. “But I know how to tell the truth.”
