In 1933, Hitler instructed Dr. Goebbels to create a “Propaganda Ministry.” Because Goebbels was short, he loved everything “big” – huge offices, ornate sofas, wall-sized paintings. Goebbels began to make up big lies.

The recipe was compiled by Hitler himself:

“The simpler the nonsense we use to deceive, the more it is designed to appeal to primitive feelings, and the more successful the results.”

The German army had special “propaganda companies” – “RKs”. They were similar to chemical battalions that were responsible for poison gas missions. These companies were composed of different platoons. For example, one platoon of artists had to, as the instructions said, “without any imagination, with the help of hand-made easels, show the smallness of the enemy and the inspired faces of German soldiers.” A row of radio operators transmitted various military noises, such as the noise of artillery shells exploding or tanks, interrupted by hysterical shouts: “We have won again! Countless teams of prisoners are coming!”

According to the directives drawn up by Goebbels, “Korea” had to conduct “active propaganda,” meaning “to undermine the enemy’s will to resist by spreading false, demoralizing information.” This referred to propaganda among Hitler’s enemies. In Germany itself, Korea had to follow the same instructions to “collect facts and, if necessary, modify them in order to support the mood of the German people.” What did “modify the facts by editing” mean? It simply meant lying. You needed to lie to your enemies. You also needed to lie to your own people.

During the war with France, the Germans made radio broadcasts posing as French stations; spreading false military information; they told the wives of French soldiers that their husbands had been killed at the front; when they found the body of the murdered commander, they were convinced that he had surrendered and was “speaking for Hitler.”

They told the French they hated the English, and the English told the English they hated the French. In American shows they pretended to be cultured, pacifists, talked about the cult of the family, and even quoted Byron and Shelley. Meanwhile, the SS covered women and burned books.

German journalists were officers of the Propaganda Ministry. Even in peacetime, they wore uniforms and followed military discipline. Every day Goebbels would think of something to lie about. This would be reported in the form of a circular to all newspapers marked “Top Secret.”

The ministry had different sections. In one they described atrocities, in another they collected ethnographic data, in a third they produced popular prints about the excessive bravery of the Germans. All of this was distributed to the German population in unlimited quantities every day.

Before the occupation of Czechoslovakia, Goebbels ordered his journalists to focus on “Czech atrocities.” Eighty-six journalists worked. Suddenly it was discovered that peaceful, kind Czechs were raping German women and torturing Germans. Meanwhile, the Nazis invaded Bohemia and Moravia and massacred Czechs. Then “Polish atrocities” were needed. Finally, the Holocaust leaders announced that the Holocaust was organized by Jews. They printed in black and white: “Pogroms carried out by Jews in Bromberg, Lvov and Bialystok.”

The photo “Germans in Paris” was prepared like this: Hitler’s soldiers walked along the sidewalk, and the crowd on the sidewalk was taken from a photo taken before the war – a parade on the Champs Elysées. Who would tell the Berliners that in Thessaloniki people threw themselves into the sea just to escape the Germans, that they entered Paris, which was abandoned by the inhabitants, and that in Smolensk they found an empty city?

The war against the Soviet Union inspired Goebbels. This gangly degenerate with a cleft lip lay on the assembly line day and night. Here are some examples of his work:

Berlin gossipers, sitting in their air-raid shelters (where British and Soviet bombs were falling from the sky), encouraged each other: “We have a new weapon.” Yes, they had a “new weapon” – and it was a lie that was told with impunity, unprecedented, and shameless.

When children are deceived, you want to drive the deceiver away. But the Germans were not children, they were children who grew up with Linotype machines and machine guns. Why were they deceived? Because they wanted to be deceived. They were afraid of the truth. Baldur von Schirach, the leader of the “Hitler Youth”, said: “German lies are better than human truth.” His adopted son, Corporal Stamp, wrote in his diary: “Today they broadcast on the radio that three million Russians are surrounded and we will kill them all in a week. Maybe it’s a lie, but it’s good to listen to anyway…”

They grew up with lies, it’s their mother’s milk. They lie to their subordinates. They lie to their bosses. They lie abroad. They lie at home. They can’t help but lie. When they sign a friendship agreement, they figure out where to drop the bomb. When they talk about culture, it means that in one hour they will be robbing, and in two hours they will be hanged.

Argue with them? – With a bayonet. Refute their lies? – With a bullet.
