Antwerp actor RDB (35) received a suspended 30-month prison sentence for possession and distribution of child sexual abuse images. He exchanged these materials with former radio presenter Sven Pichard, among others.
RDB must comply with a number of conditions and pay a fine of 8,000 euros, half of which will be paid in arrears. Suspended sentence means that the offender who meets the conditions shall not be sentenced to execution.
Prosecutors said the images found in the DB were so severe that “children ranging from infants to nearly 16 years old were crying, screaming and calling for their mothers.”
DB was also previously convicted in the Sven Pichal case. Sentenced to eight years in prison rape of two minors and possessing and distributing child sexual abuse images.
Pichal himself was recently referred to the criminal court. He will have to answer to the court for possessing and distributing child abuse images. It is not clear when the criminal trial will take place.
The case began in August 2023. A person who received particularly egregious child abuse images subsequently filed a report with the local police in Antwerp. Antwerp actor RBD was said to have eagerly disseminated the images.
RBD was arrested and his contact details were checked. Investigators eventually found radio host Sven Pichal. During a series of searches, Pichal was arrested at his home.
