Money was found floating in the Karatoya river in Bogra. Hundreds of people jumped into the rotting waters of the river in a rush to collect the money. The incident took place around 9pm last night under the Chelopara Karatoya bridge in the city.

It is reported that after 9 pm on Monday, rumors spread in the city that money was flowing through the Karatoa River. Within a few moments, hundreds of people gathered on the Karatoa River Bridge at Fateh Ali Interchange. After hearing the news, many reporters and police also arrived at the scene.

But no witnesses were found at the scene. Everyone was saying that many people heard that the money in the river was snatched away. At the same time, a young man appeared with some wet 10 Taka notes and two 100 Taka notes in his hand.

The young man named Kalu said that he swam away all the money that was washed away by the river. But when people present saw the money and became suspicious, the young man fell into the trap. At the same time, many people began to pickpocket. When the police took action, the group of pickpockets also fled. But the rumor spread throughout the city.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people gathered on the riverbank in the night, with rumors that money was flowing through the Karatoya River in Bogra. But no one saw the sight of the money floating away. However, when a young man appeared in the crowd of hundreds with some wet money, he was interrogated and found to be a staged play.

The investigation found that a group of pickpockets spread rumors and gathered to commit crimes. However, due to the presence of the police, the pickpocket gang was in trouble. Before this, many enthusiastic people’s pockets were empty.

Bogra Sadar police inspector (investigation) Rezaul Karim Reza said the incident was a rumor. Some people deliberately lost the money and picked it up again to spread rumors.
