Kathryn BernardoPiolo Pascual, and Alfred Vargas won the Best Performance Award, while “Mallari” won the Best Film Award at the 72nd Philippine Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards held on Sunday, May 26 at the Manila Hotel.
Bernardo won her first FAMAS Best Actress award for her performance in the film “Very Good Girl”, while Pascual and Vargas tied for Best Actor for the films “Malari” and “Pieta”, respectively.
Directed by Rodrick Cabrido, “Maali” emerged as the biggest winner at the star-studded event, bagging a total of seven awards.
