KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan-America Foundation (AAF) has refuted US President Joe Biden’s remarks about Afghanistan and its people, saying that the Afghan people continue to demonstrate their strength and capacity in unity despite challenges from external forces.
in a statement The Afghan Air Force said that the Afghan people of all ethnic groups have demonstrated strong resilience and unity in the face of adversity for generations.
“If anything has divided Afghans, it has been decades of foreign interference in Afghanistan, including by neighboring countries, and years of misleading and exploitative U.S. foreign policy.”
The Afghan people have a strong desire for peace, stability and progress. Despite challenges from external forces, they continue to demonstrate the strength and ability of unity.
“We stand with the Afghan people in their pursuit of a brighter future and ask them to shift their mindsets, rhetoric and policies to truly support their sovereignty, rights and development as they face one of the most dire humanitarian, economic and political situations in the world today.”
Earlier, President Biden described Afghanistan as the “graveyard of empires” and said Afghans “will never be united.”
