Kamoso Distribution, a diversified consumer goods retailer and manufacturer/distributor operating primarily in Botswana, is recruiting for the following positions:
Network Engineer
Responsibilities
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, VOIP, etc.)
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Monitor network utilization, trends and capacity planning
• Provide 2/3 level support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• Work with the corporate security team to select and implement security tools, policies and procedures
• Should be able to provide technical support to users/customers both remotely and on-site.
• Must work in a site where copper and fiber optic cables are installed and data services are provided (e.g. ADSL, fttx, wireless, 3g, etc.).
Require
• IT Diploma or relevant industry-specific certification in networking
• Extensive experience and success in LAN, WAN, and WLAN design and implementation
• Extensive experience in network capacity planning, network security principles and general network management best practices
• Have extensive practical network engineering experience
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostics, and network analysis tools
• Network troubleshooting experience
• Ability to conduct research on network issues and products as needed
• Strong customer service awareness and experience working in a collaborative team environment
• Driving license is an added advantage
