Tuesday’s meeting will discuss an additional budget for this fiscal year.
MPs will have 45 hours from Monday to discuss the 2024-2025 budget. Budgetand then look at the allocation of funds to various ministries and quasi-public institutions.
The agenda for this week has been released and the Leader of the Opposition will be able to propose Private Notification Issues every day, except for this Tuesday’s meeting.
Parliament will meet for 45 hours this week to discuss the final budget of this term, which was presented last Friday.
The Opposition will have a little over 16 hours to kick off with its leader, Arvin Boolell. The latter should have been in the game from the start of today’s meeting if he used his privilege to demand Private Notification Issues.
It should be remembered that both sides of the House signed an agreement that the speaking time of both parties must be strictly observed.
Tuesday’s meeting will be devoted to discussing the Rs 6.7 billion supplementary budget for the health and housing ministries and other government initiatives for the fiscal year 2023-2024.
