Jamaica wins Best Social Media Campaign at Caribbean Media Awards

Jamaica has been awarded the prestigious Caribbean Media Award by the Caribbean Tourism Organization for the best campaign on social media.

The destination was chosen for US TV station BRAVO’s Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke’s Valentine’s Day campaign, which attracted 5.3 million viewers and generated 47.1 million impressions.

The Jamaica Tourism Board, through its US public relations agency, the Lou Hammond Group, hosted an authentic Jamaican Valentine’s Day experience for the couple in February 2023. The couple enjoyed villa accommodations, romantic waterfalls and local cuisine as part of the carefully curated itinerary.

“We are delighted to be recognised for this major social media campaign in partnership with American celebrities Lindsay and Carl. By hosting them, we are able to use their platform to increase exposure for our beautiful island. This story is further proof that Jamaica is known and loved for its romance,” said the Hon Edmund Bartlett, Minister of Tourism.

The award was announced yesterday at the Caribbean Media Awards at the Continental Hotel in New York. Jamaica was selected from 86 candidates. The award is part of the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Caribbean Week, which runs from June 16 to 21.

“Jamaica is an ideal destination for a multitude of activities, with romance prominent among them. Whether visitors are looking to get engaged, married, honeymoon or simply reunite, the island is ready to welcome them,” said Donovan White, director of tourism.
